unraveling loveTitle: Unraveling Love

Author: K. L. Donn

Year of publication: Out today! I was kindly given a copy to read and review

The heroine: Event planner Arden Graham

The heroes: Ex-SEALs/Private investigators Dare Waters and Boston Falco

The blurb: Burned by love, Arden Graham thought she knew where her life was going. As an event planner at Rocky Shores Retirement home in Queens, she enjoyed her life. Bringing smiles to the faces of the elderly brought her joy. Giving them something to look forward to, gave her a sense of purpose.

Being stalked was never in the game plan. Neither was having two bodyguards who liked to boss her around. With Arden in and out of the tabloids because of her charity work for her twin brother’s company, Boston and Dare think they have her figured out.

Falling in love wasn’t the plan.

Boston Falco and Dare Waters have been best friends for more than half their lives. The decision to share one woman came as easily as when they joined the SEALs. Receiving a call from two men on their former SEAL team to protect their little sister, came as a shock. The woman herself was the biggest contradiction they’d ever encountered.

With the help of their former technical analyst, John ‘Tex’ Keegan, the hunt for Arden’s stalker is on. The clock is ticking, twists keep coming, and soon or later something’s gotta give. With no idea who’s on the other end of the revealing pictures and veiled threats, the only question left is; will they be able to unravel Arden’s heart and open her up to love again once all is said and done?

Standalone or series: This is book one of the Damaged Love series and is part of Susan Stoker’s Special Forces: Operation Alpha World, but can be read as a standalone.

The review: Someone is stalking Arden Graham, the youngest child and only daughter of a rich businessman. Her twin brothers, Tanner and Thompson, ask their ex-military brothers Dare and Boston to find out who the stalker is and be her bodyguards until he is caught.

Dare and Boston are immediately intrigued by Arden; while her public persona is that of a spoilt brat, the real Arden is charming, down to earth and compassionate. She organises events for the elderly who are in nursing homes and don’t always have family visiting them. The residents love her and she loves them back. The two men, who have agreed that they want to find one woman for both of them to love forever, fall in love with Arden pretty quickly, and this only spurns them on to find the stalker.

All is not as it would seem and the sub-plot with the stalker has some clever twists and turns you won’t see coming – just when you think you know what’s going on, something else happens that totally blows that out of the water! Arden finds herself drawn to the two men guarding her body and melting her heart, and when they take her to their home to keep her safe all three of them know this is it for them.

If you enjoy reading menage books with a bit of mystery, then you’ll want to give this one a go 😊
