Author: Madison Faye

Year of publication: Out today! I was kindly given a copy to read and review

The heroine: Veterinarian Kennedy McKinnon

The heroes: Tattoo artists Landon Jacobs and Caleb Rawlins

The blurb: Our demons almost destroyed us once. Chased by our sins, our past, and the mob, Blackthorn Mountain was a clean start. A place we could start over, open our tattoo shop, and ignore the rest of the world.

It’s a great plan, except for one little detail: we never expected to find her up on the mountain.

Gorgeous, sassy, innocent, and tempting in that way where she doesn’t even know it. We know two outlaws like us should stay away from Kennedy McKinnon. We know those sweet curves and soft, pouty lips are off limits. But when one night of mayhem brings us crashing into her, there’s not a power on earth that could keep us from her and from claiming what’s ours.

The ghosts of our past aren’t through with us though. There’s a sociopath of a mob prick looking to take us down and hurt everything we love.

But that is not going to happen. Because what’s our is ours. Ours to protect, ours to share. And we’ll fight like hell to keep her safe.

Kennedy’s worried about coming between us. She has no idea that’s our goal. She’s worried about having to choose one of us.

…She’s not going to have to.

Standalone or series: This is book eight in the Blackthorn Mountain Men series, but can be read as a standalone.

The review: Vet Kennedy McKinnon has moved to Blackthorn Mountain to be near her sister and niece. For the past year, she’s been lusting over the two men who own the tattoo parlour down the road, Landon Jacobs and Caleb Rawlins. But she’s done the whole bad boy thing and she’s not interested in revisiting it, so she ignores the feelings that pop up every time she sees them.

One night, she opens her surgery door to find Landon holding Caleb, who’s been shot. She patches him up, but wonders what she’s getting herself into. She doesn’t want to have to choose between the two best friends, but they soon make it clear she doesn’t need to – they share everything. And they want to share her.

Kennedy finds herself falling under their spell and it doesn’t take long before she’s hot and heavy with them both. But when their past comes calling, will Kennedy be caught in the crossfire?

You know that when you read a Madison Faye book you’re going to get lots of hot, sexy scenes, and threesomes are her specialty. Another great read guaranteed to get your engines racing!

Review: Unwrapping His Mountain Package by Madison Faye

The heroine: Holly ?

The hero: Ex-military/mob courier Dane ?

The blurb: Outlaw. Soldier. Villain. Hero. Smuggler for the mob. I’m whatever the highest bidder needs me to be, and I don’t ask questions.

That is, until a freak avalanche sends me crashing over a cliff up on Blackthorn Mountain, and I find out what—or who—I’m really carrying.

She’s innocent and tempting—the blonde and beautiful little captive I didn’t even know I had. Legs for days, curves that beg for my rough hands, and a sassy spitfire attitude that gets my pulse roaring.

The mountain blizzard has us trapped. Just the two of us in an abandoned cabin, on Christmas Eve, with nothing but our body heat to keep warm. I know she’s off-limits. I know the mob boss who’s paying me wants to sell her to settle a debt. But once I’ve had a taste of Holly, there ain’t no way I’m letting that happen.

She came to me by accident. But I found her. I unwrapped her. I made her mine.

The storm wants to bury us. The mob wants to take her from me.

But she’s my Christmas miracle. She’s my pretty little present, and I’m going to unwrap every inch of her with my teeth.

She was never meant for me. But now, I’m keeping her all to myself.

Standalone or series: This is book seven in the Blackthorn Mountain Men series, but can be read as a standalone

The review: Dane is an ex-military man who finds himself acting as a courier for a local mob boss. He doesn’t know what’s in the cargo he’s delivering and he’s paid enough money not to ask. When he’s transporting the latest shipment in the middle of a snowstorm up the top of a mountain, he’s involved in an accident and his truck topples over the edge. He’s okay, but when he gets out to check the damage, it appears the shipment he was delivering isn’t quite what he expected.

He finds Holly, a beautiful young woman, is the cargo in question. Shoving his anger aside at finding another human being has been sold to pay a debt, he manages to coax her into the cabin of the truck and out of the snow. They’re trapped in there, but Dane is well equipped for such an event – he’s got an extended cabin that’s big enough for sleep, along with several changes of clothes, food, and portable heating.

They settle in for the night, but the next morning it’s clear that there’s something between them and it’s lust at first sight. Holly is a willing participant and it doesn’t take long for them to find another way to keep warm. Eventually, the snow dies down enough for them to make it to a nearby abandoned cabin, where they hunker down until they can go for help.

But the mob boss isn’t about to let his possession go that easy, and Dane will do anything to keep the woman he’s quickly fallen in love with safe. If you love novellas with instalove and hot sex in them, this one’s for you.
